Executive Leadership Team

An experienced clinician specialising in care of the elderly, pioneer in ethnic health and diversity, combined with board level GMC and Healthcare Commission (HCC) service he demonstrates a track record in regulatory, inspection, education and patient safety experience. As founder and chair of the Centre of Excellence for Safety in Older People’s Care, Professor Singh has led on training and education of the workforce within the health and social care sector on issues around improving skills and knowledge and equally focusing on embedding a culture of compassion and respect, through influencing behaviour and attitudes at individual, team and organisational level. Whilst also empowering teams to innovate in developing a culture of learning and professionalism to enable continuous improvement. 

Provost’s career spans over 40 years and it started when he secured a competitive scholarship for further and higher education on merit of his academic and work performance at the age of 15. From a young age, the Provost concurrently developed valuable skills in numerical/engineering analysis, software development, project management and leadership. This has empowered his belief that opportunities are realised through working hard and embracing knowledge. Prior to a teaching career, the Provost held 12 years of professional experience in engineering/software development. He also held a position between 2008 and 2011 as Principal and Academic Director for the University of Bolton’s campus in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

Dr Sai Pillarisetti currently serves as the Chairman, Postgraduate Doctors Committee of the British International Doctors Association (BIDA) and he also Founded and previously Chaired the BIDA Student Wing – the UK’s very first organisation representing International Medical Students who come from 40+ different nationalities. Through these roles, Sai has led on several national campaigns and initiatives to support international students and doctors alike and he is keen to use his wealth of experience to deliver a UK leading strategy for the Induction & Integration of International Medical Students at the University of Bolton Institute of Medicine.

OUR VISION IS TO ESTABLISH A CENTRE OF MEDICAL EXCELLENCE WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY OF BOLTON AND ITS PARTNER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, REFLECTING THE NEEDS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY THE YEAR 2030.
